Marble Chips for Landscaping, Flooring and Decorative Use
Marble chips are crushed and graded marble with angular faces that catch light differently from rounded pebbles. They are used for garden ground cover, terrazzo and flooring work, planter dressing and decorative panels — and Kishangarh, where our material is sourced and graded, is India's main marble processing hub.
The angular shape is the key difference from pebbles: chips lock together, so they stay put on slopes and in traffic areas better than rounded stone. The trade-off is that they are less comfortable barefoot, so they suit beds, borders and dressing more than walking routes.
White marble chips are the most requested for bright ground cover; other natural marble shades are available depending on stock. Grades run from fine chips suitable for flooring and terrazzo mixes up to coarse decorative grades.

Buying guide
- Choose chips over pebbles where the surface needs to stay locked in place, such as slopes and narrow borders.
- Fine grades are for flooring, terrazzo and tight dressing work; coarse grades for garden cover.
- Chips are sharper underfoot than pebbles — not the choice for barefoot areas.
- Confirm the grade with your fabricator if the chips are going into a flooring or terrazzo mix.

Marble Chips — questions we are asked
- What is the difference between marble chips and pebbles?
- Marble chips are crushed, so they have angular faces and interlock; pebbles are naturally rounded and roll. Chips hold better on slopes, pebbles are more comfortable to walk on and look more natural.
- Can marble chips be used for terrazzo flooring?
- Yes, graded marble chips are a standard terrazzo and flooring input. Confirm the exact grade required with your contractor and mention it in your enquiry.
- Do white marble chips stay clean outdoors?
- They collect dust like any light material. Laying them over landscape fabric and hosing them occasionally keeps them bright.
