Garden Stones and Decorative Pebbles for Home Gardens
Garden stones cover the decorative stone most home gardeners actually buy: pebbles for beds and borders, chips for pot dressing, and larger stones for edges and accents. They make a garden look maintained without adding work.
The functional benefits are real, not just cosmetic. A stone layer over soil slows evaporation so plants need less frequent watering, blocks light so fewer weeds germinate, stops soil splashing onto walls and leaves during heavy rain, and keeps mud off pathways in monsoon.
For most home gardens, a 10–20 mm grade in white, grey, brown or mixed tones over landscape fabric handles beds and borders, with a coarser stone kept for the areas that get walked on.
Retail quantities for a single home garden or balcony are supplied alongside bulk orders for larger properties.

Buying guide
- Measure your beds first — length × width × the depth you want gives you the volume to quote against.
- Choose light stone to brighten shaded corners and dark stone to add depth to bright, open beds.
- Keep the stone slightly away from plant stems so air can reach the crown of the plant.
- Buy one grade for beds and one coarser grade for stepping areas rather than compromising with a single size.

Garden Stones — questions we are asked
- Do garden stones stop weeds?
- They reduce weeds substantially by blocking light, and over landscape fabric they are very effective. Occasional seedlings will still land on top of the stone layer and are easy to pull.
- Are garden stones good for plants?
- A stone mulch holds soil moisture and moderates soil temperature, which most plants benefit from. Leave a small gap around stems and do not bury the plant crown.
- How much stone do I need for my garden?
- Work out area × depth. As a rough guide, decorative cover is usually laid around 40–50 mm deep. Send us your measurements and we will help confirm the quantity for a quote.
